On certain Tesla Model Y and Model 3 sedans, when an original equipment front or rear passenger side exterior door handle fails, Tesla only offers a costly entire door handle assembly for a repair. The embedded Hall effect sensor that activates the handles lock/unlock function is typically unaffected by the handle assembly failure. This Dorman OE FIX door handle saves significant expense by allowing that working sensor from the factory handle to be reused.
