Hella Behr® 351004254 A/C Expansion Valve

The expansion valve represents the point ofseparation between the high pressure andlow pressure sections in the refrigerantcircuit. It is installed upstream of theevaporator. To achieve optimum coolingcapacity in the evaporator, the refrigerantflow is controlled by the expansion valvedepending on the temperature. As a result,complete evaporation of the liquidrefrigerant is ensured so that only gaseousrefrigerant arrives at the compressor.Expansion valves are available in a varietyof designs.
